MAYA: [Smooths the torn edge.] I told Dad I could finish this without help. ELENA: Did you tell him you would finish it without scissors? MAYA: That is different. ELENA: Is it? [Elena puts the tape between them rather than handing it to Maya.] MAYA: Stay until we finish? ELENA: I was already staying. [Maya picks up the tape. They turn the poster together.]
