Questions using representation

Problem 1

Explain representation in your own words and give an example from the assigned reading or a fresh sentence.
Answer and explanation

A selected presentation of information whose labels, categories, and omissions affect interpretation. The unit case offers this example to examine: A supported caption is “Recorded visits on three observed days: 12, 20, and 16.” The entries count visits, not unique people or preferences. Friday is unknown because its record is missing; recording zero would create a measurement the packet does not provide. Wednesday’s closure is a different category from missing information. Identify the wording or choice that fits the term. A different accurate example is acceptable.

Use the model to discuss reasoning after an independent attempt. A different accurate supported response can be correct; written work needs human marking.
