Phase diagram — Science definition
A pressure-versus-temperature graph showing which phase is stable under each set of conditions, including the triple point and critical point.

In use
Zoom out to a phase diagram and you get the whole picture at once: pressure on the vertical axis, temperature on the horizontal, and boundary lines dividing the map into solid, liquid, and gas regions.
