Review the learning

A clear report starts with honest evidence.

See what has been attempted, what still needs a conversation, and which explanation your learner can give independently.

Read the evidence in separate columns

Assignments completed
Tasks checked in the family planner. These are separate from course results.
Checked practice
Objective practice questions attempted and solved at least once in the course app. Retries may be included; the count is not a mastery grade.
Self-reviewed writing
Written practice compared with a sample answer by the learner. Keep this distinct from a parent’s assessment.
Parent review
Your dated judgment and evidence note. An independent explanation needs a concrete example of what the learner did without the worked model.
Course exams
Objective points and written marks remain separate while a paper is awaiting review. A submitted paper is not fully marked until every required human mark is entered.

A useful weekly conference

  1. Ask the learner to choose one piece of work and explain the reasoning without the model in view.
  2. Compare it with the task criteria, and record assistance or source limitations.
  3. Name a specific strength and one next step. Choose a lesson or changed case to revisit.
  4. Keep a snapshot of the report alongside representative work. Read marks and comments together.

Understand the reporting period

The course app stores current cumulative results, not a complete event history. A period label organizes your notes; it does not filter the app’s totals to a quarter. The report states its snapshot date and separately names the selected planner week.

Keep a usable copy

Print or save the report as PDF, or download a report snapshot. A Parent Center backup restores parent plans and notes; it does not overwrite student results in the course app. State reports, attendance and credits may need other records.
